Deborah Helen Wright walks that true roots line, stealing from the best of alt-country, rock and folk, crafting musical revelations of heartbreak, healing and hope with strong Australian themes. With her seasoned band, resonating harmonies, and song-writing that reaches for the real, prepare to soar and to cry, to be enchanted, yet have your boots firmly planted on solid ground.

Citing Neil Young, Mark Knopfler, Waylon Jennings and Emmylou Harris as her strongest influences, Deborah is as real as it gets. Recent performances include the Girgarre Moosic Muster, Bayles Music Festival, the Basin Music Festival, Selby Folk Club and BAD Folk.  2018 has seen Deborah release several singles such as ‘Disturbing the Peace’, ‘Come On, Fly’ and ‘Wise Man’,  come runner-up in the Peninsula Folk Club Annual Songwriting Contest, and shortlisted in the Top 10 for the 2018 Basin Music Festival Songwriting Competition. With her band, or rather her “boys”, she also won first place at the summer 2017/18 Soundbar Open Stage Competition.
